EVERY PAINTING IS PART OF A JOURNEY

Some begin with a place I have seen, a memory I carry, or a moment that stays with me. Others begin with nothing more than a color, a feeling, or the need to put something on canvas that I cannot quite express in words.

I don't always know where a painting will take me.

That is part of why I paint.

Over the years, my journey as an artist has been shaped not only by the paintings I have created, but also by the people who have stopped to look at them, connected with them, collected them, shared them with others, and encouraged me to keep going.
